The US aviation authority FAA orders the inspection of all Boeing 737 machines. The printing devices in the cabs are to be examined.
Previously there was a problem with the so-called pressure switch on three Boeing 737s. These are said to have failed in the necessary function tests. The operator of the three machines reported this to the manufacturer and the FAA. According to the authority, it could happen that the corresponding warning system is not activated at an altitude of 3.050 meters.
The consequence of this could be that the oxygen concentration in the cabin could be too low. According to the FAA, 9.315 machines worldwide are affected by the arrangement. Of these, 2.502 fly in the United States of America.
