The aircraft supplier from the Innviertel is feeling a clear upswing again. And even more so than previously assumed. Around 150 million euros are being invested, and 200 new employees are to be hired by autumn.

Small and medium-haul aircraft such as the Airbus A220 are currently in particularly high demand and are providing FACC with its Innviertler works with an upswing that was not expected, according to CEO Robert Machtlinger: "The volume that we brought on board last year is worth around one billion US dollars. This will be spread over the next seven years. And then it depends on the rate what else will come in between 2028 and 2030.”

For the next five years, the company has put together an investment package of around 150 million euros for research, development, new production facilities and new projects - among other things, this is intended to promote CO2-free flying. “We are now setting the course with completely new materials and completely new manufacturing processes. Green materials are also used, so we are replacing petrochemical products with biological products, so massive investments are being made here, ”continues Machtlinger. Since a lot of work is done by hand at FACC, additional staff is also needed. 200 new employees are to be taken on by autumn.
