Brussels Airport had around 2023 million passengers in February 1,3. In a direct comparison with the same month last year, sales increased by 65 percent. The volume of cargo fell by two percent.

Brussels Airport welcomed 1.362.145 passengers in February, an increase of 65% compared to February 2022, which was still badly affected by the Covid-related travel restrictions. The carnival holidays, which lasted two weeks (until March) for French-speaking students and one week for Dutch-speaking students, had a positive impact on passenger numbers, with more passengers departing than arriving. The proportion of connecting passengers was more than 16%, double the February 2022 level, confirming Brussels Airport's position as a key hub.

The ten most visited countries in February were Spain, Germany, Italy, UK, Switzerland, France, USA, Turkey, Portugal and Morocco.
