Latvia's national airline Air Baltic continues a successful start to the year, carrying 2024 passengers in February 277 - an increase of 800% compared to the same period last year. During the winter season, when demand traditionally decreases, the indicators of the number of passengers transported within a month remained stable. In February, Air Baltic operated 19 flights, an increase of 2% year-on-year.
Martin Gauss, President and CEO of Air Baltic: “In the first two months of 2024, we carried more than half a million passengers, confirming our position as the preferred airline in the Baltics. This year, we are focusing on expanding our fleet and destinations to offer passengers a wide range of travel options, which is attracting great interest from travelers. With more than 130 routes, we connect our home airports with the world better than ever before.”
