Lufthansa expects an increased volume of traffic due to the start of the summer vacation in the German state of Hesse. The carrier recommends that travelers arrive early at Frankfurt Airport and, if possible, use digital services.

During the first holiday weekend, the crane group expects around 76.000 passengers at the main hub. This year there are 192 destinations and 1.800 connections per week. Compared to the time “before Corona”, this corresponds to about 56 percent of the previous offer.

If you are worried about not having the right certificates for your trip, you can have them checked by a Lufthansa Service Center on selected flights up to 72 hours before departure. This can be evidence of tests, survived Covid-19 disease and vaccinations. The confirmations of digital entry registrations can also be checked. This ensures in advance that the necessary documents are available. Lufthansa recommends that its guests carry the original printed certificates along with them on the trip in addition to the digital proof.
