Well then: Qatar Airways announced at the Farnborough Air Show that they had ordered 25 Boeing 737 Max 10s. Options are also held for up to 25 additional copies.

Just recently, in one of the many lawsuits facing Airbus, the Gulf carrier claimed that the letter of intent secured earlier this year on the acquisition of Boeing 737 Max 10 would have expired. That wasn't really credible, because the European aircraft manufacturer has Qatar Airways Supply contract for 50 A321neo terminated and the 737 Max 10 represents the only comparable alternative.

In any case, Boeing and the Gulf carrier announced on Thursday in Farnborough that a purchase agreement for 25 B737 Max 10s had been signed. At the same time, Qatar Airways secured options for up to 25 additional aircraft. At the moment, however, it is a kind of "drawing board order", because this type of machine has not yet been approved. Boeing is now exerting pressure in all ways, because new criteria for certification will come into force at the beginning of next year. Recently, the manufacturer even threatened with the termination of the program.
