Oneworld member Finnair will be offering its customers PCR tests in cooperation with Terveystalo from September 28, 2020. These can be booked on the carrier's homepage and taken at a nearby test center. It is also possible to pay with points from the frequent flyer program.

Finnair justifies the move with the fact that many countries require a negative test result to be submitted. Now one tries to push the demand by arranging PCR tests. The airline also writes that this would make a further contribution to safety.

This also gives Finnish travelers an advantage, because if they return from areas classified by the government as a risk region, the 14-day quarantine can be shortened or bypassed by completing a PCR test immediately after arrival. In Helsinki, the result should be available within 24 hours, at other locations within a maximum of 36 hours.

Finnair has not yet given any details about the prices, but writes that normal customers should get a ten percent discount. Frequent flyers should receive a 15 percent discount.
