The Latvian airline Air Baltic opened a new base in Tampere, Finland, on Monday. Step by step, seven routes, including Munich and Frankfurt am Main, are to be added.
From May 2022, Air Baltic will offer non-stop flights from Tampere to Oslo (Norway) and Copenhagen (Denmark), Frankfurt and Munich (both Germany) as well as to the sunny holiday destinations of Málaga (Spain) and Rhodes (Greece), in addition to further flights to Riga ( Latvia). From June 2022, the carrier will also fly to Amsterdam (Netherlands).
“From today we call Tampere one of our bases. The opening of the new base offers new travel opportunities for our current and future passengers. We hope that passenger demand will gradually increase so that over time we can offer more new destinations to various business and leisure destinations,” said Air Baltic CEO Martin Gauss.
