The first electrically powered passenger bus was put into operation at Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO).

The bus, which can carry up to 100 people, is now used to transport passengers between the terminal and the aircraft on the apron. In addition, electrically operated passenger stairs that run on solar energy have already been purchased. The airport also plans to introduce mobile, battery-electric Ground Power Units (eGPUs) to replace diesel generators. This is part of the FMO's strategy to become carbon neutral by 2030.
