The low-cost airline Wizz Air will not only be heading to Stuttgart Airport as part of special flights, but will also be setting up a regular connection from Budapest.
After competitors such as Lauda (Ryanair) and Easyjet completely withdrew from the state airport in the wake of the corona pandemic, Wizz Air was once again able to attract enthusiasm for Stuttgart as a low-cost airline. From June 18, 2024, the carrier will fly five times a week between Budapest and the state capital of Baden-Württemberg and vice versa.
In this federal state we are currently present in Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden and Friedrichshafen. You also head for Memmingen Airport, which is located in Bavaria. Wizz Air expects there will be high demand from people traveling between the two cities for work reasons. The main competitor is probably less Eurowings and more Flixbus.
The route will be served by Airbus A320neo aircraft on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. In addition, some special flights to Stuttgart are being offered during the European Football Championship. In this context, four round trips from Debrecen will also be offered in June 2024.
