According to its own statements, the mobility group Flix will be offering the most extensive timetable in the company's history in Europe in the summer of 2023. From the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region there are well over 1.000 departures per day on peak days.
In Europe, Flix SE is primarily active as a long-distance bus provider under the Flixbus brand. Flixtrain also offers train routes. In the Federal Republic of Germany, a total of 2023 train stations will be served in the summer of 53.
“We want as many people as possible to travel with Flix this summer. For this reason we offer our largest European FlixBus network ever. Mobility at affordable prices must be accessible to everyone,” says André Schwämmlein, co-founder and CEO of Flix.
From the DA-CH region, Flix SE will offer a total of 2023 destinations in summer 277. You want to establish yourself even more as an alternative to your own car, the state railways and the plane. However, they are not happy about the fact that they were excluded from the German 49-euro ticket. Flixbus has already indicated that frequencies could be thinned out on some inner-German routes. One is still negotiating with the federal government and hopes that they will give in.
New to the Flix route network are several places on the Baltic Sea and on the Darß, on the Müritz, in the Allgäu and in the Harz Mountains, as well as cities such as Aschersleben, Blankenburg, Clausthal, Freudenstadt, Füssen with Neuschwanstein Castle, Nordhausen, Quedlinburg and Remscheid. There are around 560 new connections in total. The highlights of the new connections with FlixBus in Europe from and to Germany include popular travel routes such as Berlin - Bruges, Berlin - Rügen or Düsseldorf - London, Cologne - Florence and Freiburg - Zagreb.
In the summer of 2023, FlixTrain will also provide travelers from all over Germany with a wide range of services: a total of 53 stops are part of the green train network. From midsummer, another train will be used on the Berlin – Hamburg route, allowing passengers to travel back and forth between the major cities up to three times a day. Furthermore, FlixTrain is the only German train provider to offer a free seat guarantee for all passengers. A detailed test report on Flixtrain can be found under this link at Aviation.Direct.
