The German long-distance bus operator Flixbus will cease line operations in November 2020. The background is the second lockdown that Germany will take from November 2, 2020. Company boss André Schwämmlein is still hoping for the Christmas business, but has seen very little demand in recent weeks.

Flixbus assumes that demand in November 2020 will be particularly low due to the appeal of the German government. It is the second time that the long-distance bus operator has to completely stop operating. In the spring, the company also completely suspended the offer. The Flixtrain trains are also affected by the current break in operation and some have not yet been reactivated.
