České Budějovice Airport becomes a civilian airport

The former Budweis military airport was finally successfully converted into a civil airport: Investments amounting to millions were able to accomplish this. The first charter flights from Budweis are only to be carried out in a few days.

České Budějovice Airport, which bears the letter code JCL after being adapted into a civil airport, was once known as a military airport. For years, a redesign with regard to a civil airport was planned, which has now been successfully carried out. Investments of 28 million euros made this possible, the first charter flights are to be offered in the next few days, as explained by the portal Austrian Wings.
