Hannover Airport will reduce its workforce in view of the corona pandemic. This is primarily to be implemented through early retirement, natural fluctuation without replacement and non-renewal of fixed-term contracts.
Managing director Raoul Hille told the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung that the company wants to "reduce its rucksack of debt quickly" and "intends to generate higher margins again". This also includes the number of staff, which the manager wants to make "even leaner".
Hanover boss Hille did not provide any information about the extent of the planned job cuts, but announced that the savings program will also have an impact on passengers. In the area of services, they have to reckon with "minor cutbacks", the airport manager also told the Hannoversche Allgemeine.
