Ljubljana Airport expects a strong fourth quarter and is expected to handle almost a million passengers this year instead of the 880.000 originally forecast.

More than 118.000 passengers used Ljubljana Airport last September alone, which corresponds to an increase of 82 percent compared to the same month in 2021. In the period from January to September almost 750.000 travelers were handled, 174 percent more than in the previous year. The strong numbers are the result of a successful summer season, as reported by the online aviation portal Ex-Yu-Aviation. Nevertheless, the passenger volume of the pre-crisis period is still a long way off. Ljubljana Airport assumes that the passenger volume of 2019, which amounted to 1,7 million, will not be reached until 2026.
