Ostend Airport offline due to runway renovation

Due to renovation work, Ostend-Bruges Airport has been temporarily closed since January 25, 2024. Among other things, the runway is being rebuilt.

In addition, this will be equipped with a new lighting system. The airport is also making some renovations to the taxiways. Since the work is very extensive, Ostend-Bruges will probably be off the grid until March 27, 2024. A total of around 17 million euros will be invested. According to the announcement, some of these also involve safety-related renovations.
