Many airports are significantly busier in the summer months. Under normal circumstances, this is only partially true in Salzburg, because the airport is one of the most important incoming airports for winter tourism. Nevertheless, additional employees are needed even in the hot season at peak times.

It's not that easy, because according to airport manager Bettina Ganghofer, around 150 seasonal workers are needed. You could already hire about two thirds of it, but you're still missing a third. There is no prospect of improvement, because tourist businesses are also desperately looking for staff and there is an absolute shortage of them.

With regard to the number of passengers expected in 2022 as a whole, it is currently assumed that there will be over one million passengers in the city of Mozart. In the summer of 2022, around 70 to 80 percent of the number that was in the same period of 2019 is expected. The airport has prepared as far as possible for the rush expected especially at the beginning of the summer holidays. New employees are welcome.
