Skopje Airport handles slightly fewer passengers in June than in 2019

Skopje Airport handled 213.347 passengers in June, almost reaching the level recorded in the same month before the pandemic in 2019.

At that time, 215.021 travelers were handled – only 0,8 percent more than in June this year. Wizz Air made a significant contribution to the almost complete approach to the pre-crisis level, as reported by Ex-Yu-Aviation. Because the Hungarian low-cost company has completely restarted its flight network in the North Macedonian capital. The number of commercial flight movements was 1.654, a decrease of 2 percent compared to 2019. In the first half of the year, the airport handled a total of 862.479 passengers - missing around 200.000 travelers to reach the figures from 2019.
