Skopje Airport welcomed 112.895 passengers in the first month of the year. The airport can thus double its result from last year.

With these figures, the airport has now reached 74 percent of its pre-pandemic traffic volume, as reported by Ex-Yu-Aviations. The number of aircraft movements was 954, up from 601 last year, but still down 28,2 percent and 23,3 percent from January 2020 and 2019, respectively. Skopje Airport will operate 24 hours a day, before the start of the fifty-day runway maintenance work from March 28 to May 16, 2022. During this period, air traffic can only be maintained to a limited extent. Airlinse has to adjust the flight times, because the airport can only be approached from 17:30 p.m. to 09:00 a.m. the following day. Austrian Airlines, for example, will not be taking off from VIE at 12:40 p.m. as usual, but at 16:05 p.m.
