In cooperation with an auction house, Vienna International Airport put objects such as information signs, banners, model airplanes and construction site helmets under the hammer. The net proceeds go to the Ukraine aid from neighbors in need. A total of 53.728,94 euros was collected.
“We are pleased to be able to make a contribution with this auction. The victims of the Ukraine war need every support and we are very proud to be able to contribute € 53.728,94 in donations with the auction of Vienna Airport memorabilia,” says Julian Jäger, CEO of Flughafen Wien AG.
At the auction with the online auction platform Aurena, numerous collector's items from the recent airport period such as information signs, model airplanes, souvenirs from events such as the Office Park 4 groundbreaking or the opening of the Vienna Lounge, an oversized sculpture of a recent charity book campaign as well as many other items are auctioned, a total of 53.728,94 euros in donations were collected.
