Flughafen Wien AG was able to recover somewhat from the corona crisis in the third quarter. Thanks to a significant increase in passenger numbers compared to the first half of the year and the tough austerity measures, the company sees a “black zero in the annual result within reach” for 2021, specifically one expects an increase of four million euros, according to the airport. Until September, this year it was only 0,1 million euros minus, after a net loss of 41,3 million euros in the first three quarters of 2020.

The upward trend in traffic development has recently continued at Flughafen Wien AG: In October, four times as many passengers were recorded as in October 2020. At Vienna-Schwechat Airport there were 1,57 million, in the entire group 2,02 million, of course 44 percent less than in 2019.
