The AUA lounges at Vienna Airport will remain closed, but business and status passengers of the Lufthansa Group will be able to use the only open lounge at the airport on July 8, 2020.

Travelers who have a business class ticket or a status card from Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss or Brussels Airlines can use the Sky Lounge at Flughafen Wien AG from July 8, 2020. The exclusive waiting areas operated by the AUA itself will remain closed, confirmed a spokeswoman.

The Sky Lounge is located in Terminal 3 to the right of the entrance to the Austrian Airlines Lounge and is currently the only one that is open at Vienna Airport. The offer is particularly popular with business travelers who have access authorization - for example with a special credit card, membership in a lounge club or a business class ticket from an airline that has concluded a corresponding agreement with Vienna Airport for use - very actively, as a local inspection last Friday showed. The Sky Lounge can also be used independently of the airline against payment of an entrance fee. This can be paid either via the Flughafen Wien AG website or spontaneously on site.

A spokeswoman said: “The Austrian Lounges at Vienna Airport are currently still closed due to the restrictions in connection with the coronavirus and the still reduced travel volume. From July 8, 2020, our Business Class guests and frequent flyers on flights with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss and Brussels Airlines will have access to the Sky Lounge Schengen in Terminal 3 (F-Gates). ”
