The ink is dry: Zurich Airport has signed the contract for the construction and operation of the Delhi capital airport. Even before Corona, an agreement was reached with the Indian government agency, now everything is on the dry side.
The new airport is to be built 80 kilometers south of the city center. The first construction work will begin as early as next year - and is expected to continue until 2024. In a first step, they say they will invest 650 million francs. In addition, they have committed themselves to operating the airport for at least 40 years.
In addition to the project in India, Flughafen Zürich AG is currently involved in eight airports in South America.
