The A-Rosa shipping company sent its latest river cruise ship, the Sena, on June 18, 2022 from Cologne on its maiden voyage. The new building is equipped with a hybrid drive, so that it was cast off with the help of electrical energy.

“The design of the A-Rosa Sena is truly unique on the river. Coupled with the spacious interior design, it offers a completely new travel experience,” reports Hotel Manager Dennis Brenner. Captain Ulli Schwalbe adds: "Thanks to the hybrid drive and the exhaust gas cleaning filter, you don't notice any emissions on board, you can just enjoy the pure feeling of driving".

The A-Rosa Sena offers 7-night cruises from Cologne via Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Dordrecht and Antwerp throughout the summer. The modern ship points the way to the river cruise of the future. A fourth deck accommodates a variety of entertainment areas on board. Several restaurants and bars invite you to high-quality culinary delights that are based on the cruising area. In the Spa-Rosa, guests are spoiled with massages and cosmetic treatments and can relax in the sauna, in the whirlpool or in the relaxation room. On the spacious sun deck there is a bar, a large swimming pool with a counter-current system and a shallow pool for children. They can also let off steam in the first Kids Club on the river, which is located right next to the extra-large family cabins.

In addition to the sun deck, there are numerous other outdoor seating areas such as the sheltered Sena Bar in the bow of the ship and the restaurant in the stern. The cozy cabins, which all – like the suites – have their own balcony, offer a nice retreat.
