Dubai-based airline Fly Dubai will expand its route network in Europe by adding flights to four new destinations. From August 2024, passengers will be able to fly directly from Dubai to Basel, Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius. This new codeshare partnership makes Fly Dubai the first national airline to operate these routes directly from Dubai.

Flights operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Flights to Basel will start from August 2nd, followed by the first flights to Riga on October 11th and to Tallinn and Vilnius on October 12th.

Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-Commerce at Fly Dubai, emphasized that the new routes aim to tap underserved destinations and provide passengers with a comfortable and reliable travel experience. Monica Linder Guarnaccia, Chief Marketing Officer at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, was pleased with the new connection to Dubai and the resulting expanded travel options.

Basel, Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius offer diverse tourist attractions, from cultural heritage and historical sites to vibrant cityscapes and high-tech hubs. Passengers can enjoy flat seats and international menus in Business Class, while Economy Class offers comfort and space. The launch of these new routes follows Fly Dubai's expansion into other regions, including Kenya, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, and the resumption of seasonal summer routes.
