Even before the pandemic, FlyBosnia suffered from occupancy concerns. The Corona crisis finally gave the carrier the rest, at the end of August the last Airbus machine had to be returned to the lessor. A few weeks later, the airline is already planning its comeback.

The company is pushing for a restart with a decommissioned Airbus A320 aircraft from US carrier United Airlines, like the aviation magazine exuaviation reported. The jet with the registration N419UA is 26 years old. The aircraft is expected in early 2021, and the used aircraft is to be delivered to Sarajevo in the first few months of the year. This time, too, the management team opted for leasing finance. In order to bridge this flyerless time, FlyBosnia rents aircraft and crews from wet lease providers.
