The Emirates sister company Flydubai has started ticket sales for the Dubai-Ljubljana route. The first flight is scheduled to take place on September 24, 2021 with a Boeing 737-800, the company announced.

Flydubai intends to fly between the two cities three times a week in the future. The flights are to be operated on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. One has an Emirates codeshare, so that changes in their route network in Dubai will be possible. From September 30, 2021, Flydubai will also fly to the city of Budapest four times a week from the United Arab Emirates.
