The airline Flynas has concluded sale-and-leaseback deals with three lessors for a total of 14 Airbus A320neos. The aircraft are part of a bulk order with a list value of $1,4 billion.
Flynas intends to expand significantly over the next few years. The fleet currently consists of 39 aircraft, but Airbus has already ordered a further 89 aircraft. In March 2022 it was announced that up to 250 additional aircraft would be ordered. The aim is to become the largest low-cost airline in the region.
The sale and leaseback deals were completed with lessors CBD Aviation, CMB Financial Leasing, and Avolon Holdings. A total of 14 Airbus A320neo are included, which are to be delivered by the end of next year. Flynas is using this financing tool for the first time for aircraft that have not yet been taken over.
