The airline FlyWestair has been operating under the FlyNamibia brand since November 2, 2021. With this one wants to emphasize the origin more strongly, because the state Air Namibia had to stop the flight operations at the beginning of this year.

The operation of the domestic and regional routes, which were previously offered as FlyWestair, is to be continued. At the same time, they want to expand from April 2022 and offer additional destinations. Company boss Henry van Schalwyk named a few tourist destinations. These are to be offered under the “Safaria Plan”. The most popular tourist hotspots in Namibia and countries in southern Africa are to be served.

Westair Aviation continues to function as the parent company. Step by step, all machines are to be repainted in the new FlyNamibia design. According to CH-Aviation, two Embraer 145s are already flying in the new design.
