Even more tourists are to be attracted to the Bulgarian regions of Varna and Burgas. To this end, a campaign is being launched that will run in 14 states. 19 projects were approved by the Ministry of Tourism.

The planned activities include large-scale marketing campaigns covering 14 countries – incoming markets for Bulgarian tourism, including Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Scandinavian countries, Austria, Spain, France, etc. The Marketing activities proposed to the Ministry of Tourism are tailored to the different national markets and include TV spots, radio, billboards, public transport, mailings, catalogs, social media, special sales weeks and other marketing tools.

“We worked with 19 tour operators from different countries and they all really appreciated the program initiated by the Minister of Tourism. All the partners we have worked with believe that Bulgaria needs to be better marketed as a travel destination. The cooperation between the Black Sea communities, the tour operators from our countries of origin and Fraport Bulgaria worked very well. Many thanks to everyone who worked intensively to develop tourism in Bulgaria,” said Frank Kwante, CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD and Chairman of the Alliance Bulgarian Black Sea.
