The German holiday airline Condor carried out the first flight from Frankfurt am Main to New York John F. Kennedy on Monday as DE2016. There were 245 passengers on board.

The carrier responded to the opening of the borders by the United States of America and preferred to start this route on November 8, 2021. The route is operated five times a week. In the USA they cooperate with JetBlue and can offer connections to 40 US cities.

Since Monday, fully vaccinated EU citizens in combination with a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 72 hours, can re-enter the United States of America for no particular reason. The vaccine must be on the list of WHO-approved vaccines.
