In the 2022/23 winter flight schedule, Eurowings Discover will take over some North American routes from the parent company Lufthansa. Finnair-operated Airbus A350s are used on the routes to Orlando and Philadelphia.
It was announced a few weeks ago that in winter 2022/23 from Frankfurt Eurowings Discover aircraft will be deployed to Toronto, Vancouver and Atlanta. These are mainly Airbus A330-300. Depending on the destination, the changeover will take place between October 30, 2022 and November 7, 2022. The use of Eurowings Discover aircraft on the Atlanta route is initially limited to December 10, 2022.
From October 31, 2022, the course pair LH4270/LH4271 will be operationally handed over to Eurowings Discover. The subsidiary offers the Orlando destination as 4Y68/4Y69. However, the flights are to be carried out as part of a wet lease agreement by Finnair with Airbus A350-900. The same applies to flights LH4272/LH4273 (4Y50/4Y51). Finnair long-haul aircraft are also to fly on behalf of Eurowings Discover on the Philadelphia route. This is temporarily limited to March 11, 2023 on both routes.
