In the winter season, 83 airlines offer passenger flights to 244 destinations in 92 countries around the world.

As the pandemic-related travel restrictions continue to be relaxed, other destinations and airlines could even be added at short notice, according to the airport.

In total, an average of 2.970 passenger flights per week (departures) are planned at the beginning of the winter flight schedule period in November. That is 30 percent less than in the 2019/2020 winter flight schedule, but 180 percent more than in the same period of 2020/21. Of these, 380 flights are on domestic German, 620 on intercontinental and 1970 on European routes. The simple seat offer is around 520.000 seats per week and thus around 36 percent below the comparative value from 2019/2020.

Numerous US destinations from FRA

In particular, the opening of the US border for vaccinated and additionally tested foreign guests from November 8, 2021 will ensure a rapidly growing offer: A total of 17 US destinations can be regularly reached from FRA in the upcoming winter season. Lufthansa (LH), United Airlines (UA) and Singapore Airlines (SQ) start daily flights to New York City.

From November 1st, Condor (DE) will be offering five weekly flights to the east coast metropolis on the Hudson River. In total, there are up to five daily flights to New York Airports Newark (EWR) and John F. Kennedy (JFK) from FRA. From mid-December, Delta Airlines (DL) will also be flying daily to New York-JFK.

United Airlines and Lufthansa also offer up to 20 weekly connections to Chicago (ORD) and the capital Washington (IAD). The two Star Alliance partners also have two flights a day to San Francisco (SFO) and Houston (IAH), while Denver is on the flight schedule twelve times a week. Lufthansa and Delta Airlines also fly to Atlanta (ATL) ten times a week.

Other destinations in the USA are Dallas (DFW), Seattle (SEA) (Lufthansa and Condor), Boston (BOS), Los Angeles (LAX) and Miami (MIA) (Lufthansa). In addition, Lufthansa flies to Orlando (MCO) six times, Detroit (DTW) five times and Philadelphia (PHL) three times a week. Eurowings Discover (4Y) will connect Frankfurt with Tampa (TPA) four times a week from mid-December.

Also hot water destinations on offer

For everyone who wants to soak up the sun in Central America or the Caribbean in winter, there are numerous destinations from FRA: Condor, Eurowings Discover and Lufthansa have attractive holiday destinations on offer with flights to Mexico, Jamaica, Barbados, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. It is particularly common with up to 16 weekly departures to Punta Cana (PUJ), but Cancún (CUN) is also represented with up to two daily flights.

Many airlines continue to offer flight offers to destinations in the Middle and Far East from Frankfurt. Depending on the development of the pandemic-related travel restrictions in the countries of Asia, an expansion of the flight offer is possible. Here, too, the situation remains dynamic. Examples are the opening of Thailand planned for November and the flights to Singapore (SIN) offered by Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines as part of the travel corridor for vaccinated passengers. These can still be booked in winter.
