From the main hub in Frankfurt am Main, Lufthansa will increasingly focus on tourist destinations in the summer of 2021. The airline will add a total of 15 additional connections. A total of around 70 rotations to 29 hot water destinations will be offered per week. The crane is again increasingly relying on the business with holidaymakers, which has been kept out of the way for a number of years.
“We have never added so many holiday destinations to our program. This is how we respond to the wishes of our customers. The demand for vacation travel is recovering much faster than that for business travel. With Lufthansa, we already have extensive and long-standing expertise in tourism offers and we are now resolutely expanding this as part of our strategy, ”said Lufthansa board member Harry Hohmeister in a broadcast.
The crane will pick up the following destinations from Frankfurt am Main: Varna, Djerba, Lamezia Terme, Rijeka, Paphos, Hurghada, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Jerez de la Frontera, Preveza, Kavala, Kos, Mykonos, Chania and Corfu. Up to five additional jets are to be parked for the operation.
