On Sunday, Lufthansa Cityline flight LH1204 had to turn around in Frankfurt am Main on the way to the runway. Smoke development occurred in the cabin on board the Bombardier CRJ-900 with the registration D-ACNR.

The captain informed the passengers that the smoke was coming from the air conditioning area. For this reason, as a precautionary measure, he decided to return to a parking position and asked the passengers to exit the regional jet. All occupants were able to leave the D-ACNR and were taken to the terminal by apron buses. The airport fire brigade was present, but there was no action.

Flight LH1204 from Frankfurt to Basel was then operated with a replacement aircraft. It was the CRJ-900 with the registration D-ACNP. A total of 35 passengers were affected by the incident. Lufthansa did not comment on the incident, which is documented with photos and videos.
