Fraport boss Stefan Schulte assumes that the number of passengers at Germany's largest airport, Frankfurt am Main, will increase sharply again from around June 2021. Therefore, one wants to reactivate the currently closed Terminal 2.

At a press conference on the annual figures on Tuesday, the manager said that it is currently planned that both Terminal 2 and the Northwest Railway will be operational again in June. Due to the low demand, all flights are currently being handled in Terminal 1.

Whether the announcements will actually be implemented depends on developments over the next few weeks and months. Fraport is optimistic that demand will increase from around June 2021.
