On Friday, March 5, 2021, activists from the Greenpeace organization broke into the security area at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport and smeared an Air France Boeing 777-200 with green paint. The prosecution is now bringing charges against the nine suspects.

The evidence should be very clear to the law enforcement agency, as the activists have illegally entered the security area of Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport and damaged property in the form of smearing the Air France Boeing 777-200 documented by photos and videos. What should attract attention in terms of climate protection should not hide the fact that several crimes were committed.

The police arrested the nine Greenpeace activists and initially held them in custody for around 48 hours, according to local media reports. These were then displayed at large. According to the public prosecutor's office, charges are being brought against property damage and violations of the Airport Security Act. Local media also report that eight out of nine suspects refused to provide DNA samples during the identification service. In this regard, a court must decide on possible coercive measures.

The process is to be brought to the nine Greenpeace "climate protectors" on June 18, 2021 in a French court. Despite the public availability of videos and photos, it should be noted that the presumption of innocence must be observed until a final conviction is reached.
