Over 4.500 infections with the coronavirus have so far been found in the “Alles gurgelt!” Project of the City of Vienna. Test kits have recently also been available from the BIPA branch at Vienna Airport.

However, only one kit per person is handed out, according to the ORF. The sample tubes can then be returned to all of the REWE Group's stores, including Billa (Plus), Penny and REWE petrol station shops in Vienna. The results of these PCR tests will also be used for the Entry recognized in various countries. These also authorize the use of hairdressers and, in the future, retail businesses. PCR tests are more accurate than rapid antigen tests, but must be evaluated in a laboratory.
