From Salzburg, Linz and Graz: Corendon is canceling three Austrian routes

Advertising

In the last few days, the holiday airline Corendon Airlines has once again cut the winter timetable 2022/23 from Germany. This time it also affects three routes from Austrian federal state airports.

Specifically, in the Alpine republic from Linz and Graz, the Gran Canaria flights fall victim to the string concert. Corendon Europe has already stopped selling airline tickets and the company has been told that these two routes will not be offered during the cold season of 2022/23. From Salzburg there are no Hurghada flights. The same applies to the LPA route from Friedrichshafen in Germany.

Corendon and its Maltese subsidiary Corendon Europe have scaled back their winter flight offerings from Germany and Switzerland in several stages . This time, two routes from Austria were also affected. The latest round of cuts again primarily impacts flights between Germany and Turkey. For example, there will be no flights to Nice from Stuttgart, Munich, Nuremberg, Hamburg, Hanover, Düsseldorf, and Berlin this winter. Flights to Kayseri have been discontinued from Stuttgart, Munich, and Frankfurt. Flights to Antalya from Friedrichshafen have been removed from the schedule. Flights to Lanzarote from Nuremberg and to Fuerteventura from Rostock-Laage have also been suspended. These reductions represent just a small sample of Corendon's latest round of cuts. Numerous other routes have already been canceled or are at risk of being discontinued.

Neither the Turkish carrier nor the Maltese subsidiary wanted to comment on the drastic cuts in the 2022/23 winter flight schedule. However, seven Boeing 737s could be accommodated in the wet lease at the Indian Spicejet, so that less capacity is available. Furthermore, the unconfirmed information can be heard from circles of travel agencies that the demand is said to be significantly below Corendon's expectations. This could possibly be related to the general rise in prices due to high inflation.

The cuts mentioned are only a small excerpt of the recent Corendon String Concerto. Numerous other routes have already been canceled or are on the brink.

Would it then be possible for you to publish a list of all canceled or reduced routes in an article? It would be great if there was an overview.

    Thank you.
