The US low-cost airline Frontier announced that it had flown in a net profit of 19 million US dollars in the second quarter of the current year.
At the same time it was announced that the fleet would be increased by ten Airbus A321s. These are used machines that are to be obtained from leasing companies. The handover of the additional jets should take place in the middle of next year.
If you take a closer look at the financial figures of Frontier Airlines, it quickly becomes clear that the carrier was not quite as profitable. The net profit could only be shown because the US government paid out corona support in the amount of 87 million euros in the same period.
