On June 30, 2022, an Airport Run will take place for the first time on the grounds of Graz Airport. The proceeds from the entry fees will be donated in full to the Styrian Children's Cancer Aid. Interested parties can register in advance or register later on site.

On the last Thursday in June, up to 500 runners have the opportunity to explore the airport in a rather unusual way: in the immediate vicinity of the runway, around 5,8 kilometers are covered as part of the first Graz Airport Run; And that for a good cause, because the entry fee goes to the Styrian Children's Cancer Aid.

"The last few years have shown us particularly clearly how important health is," explain the managing directors of Graz Airport, Wolfgang Grimus and Jürgen Loeschnig. “With this run we have the opportunity to present the airport from a new perspective and at the same time to support an important Styrian organization in its work. The route of 5,8 kilometers was chosen in such a way that it can also be easily mastered by beginners. We are sure this run will be a hit!”
