Tourism is particularly important for Croatia because it is the country's most important economic sector. The entry and quarantine regulations as well as, in some cases, the political stigmatization of trips abroad have left deep marks. Now one hopes that business will start again by Pentecost at the latest.

Tourism Minister Nikolina Brnjac assumes that in the summer of 2021 it will be necessary to submit negative tests when returning to the home country. Therefore, one wants to offer tourists free test options. Both antigen and PCR tests should be able to have vacationers carried out at state expense. Croatia also has high hopes for the "Green pass".
