On November 18, 2022, US aircraft manufacturer Boeing conducted the first test flight of a B737 Max-10 flying United Airlines livery. However, it is completely unclear when this machine can be delivered, because the certification of the Max-10 is in the air.
The matter is problematic for Boeing, because new safety regulations will come into force at the end of December 2022. Failure to get an exemption from Congress, or getting the Max-7 and Max-10 approved beforehand, would lose continuity among the individual models. The FAA currently assumes that the certification will not succeed before the end of 2022. The aircraft manufacturer even threatened with the termination of the program.
The United Airlines B737 Max-10 test flight took off from Renton on Friday, flew to Grant County International Airport and then landed at Boeing Field near Seattle. The aircraft used has the registration N27753. United Airlines has ordered well over 200 Boeing 737 Max in various configurations.
