A coffee break at Cologne/Bonn Airport is now a futuristic experience: two robot baristas from “MyAppCafé” welcome passengers in Terminal 2. Travelers can choose from a wide range of coffee and cocoa specialties via an app or directly at the automated coffee machines. These can not only be enjoyed in classic hot versions, but also as “Iced Coffee” for refreshing moments. Payment is made contactless either on the device or via the MyAppCafé app.

The coffee robots are true all-rounders and can prepare up to four drinks at the same time. Preparing a coffee takes about two minutes, and the “Robocup” makes an impressive 120 drinks per hour. A special highlight is the ability to print individual motifs into the milk foam, be it an airplane, one of 250 other motifs or even your own photo using the app.

Frigga Finkentey, Retail Manager at Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH, emphasizes the quality of the offering and the innovation of the concept, which fits well with the existing dining options at the airport. The robot barista, which is now offering its services at Cologne/Bonn Airport, is part of an innovative concept that should also be well received by travelers.

The offering ranges from high-quality organic fair trade coffee to delicious extras such as soy milk or various syrup flavors. The prices for the drinks vary between 3,49 and 5,99 euros depending on the type and size. The two kiosks are strategically located in Terminal 2, one in the public area of the departure level under the new green plant wall and the other at the baggage claim area.
