On January 28, 2022, the British Airways subsidiary BA Euroflyer submitted the official application for an AOC and operating license to the British Civil Aviation Authority. A type A operator license has already been obtained.
Citing the official documents, CH-Aviation.com reports that the startup has applied for approval to operate scheduled and charter flights between any combination of locations. BA Euroflyer will be based at London Gatwick Airport and will have lower production costs compared to the parent company.
At the end of March 2022, short- and medium-haul flights from London-Gatwick are to be reactivated. First come machines from British Airways and Vueling for use. The plan is to gradually switch to BA Euroflyer, but the British Airways brand will be used for external traffic, based on the BA Cityflyer model.
