The international transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss has expanded its logistics terminal in Tbilisi, Georgia, by 13.000 square meters.

With this measure, the company is responding to the growing demand for transport and logistics services, which has been driven by increasing trade between the European Union and Georgia's neighboring countries, such as Armenia and Azerbaijan. Gebrüder Weiss has been active in Georgia since 2012 and operates a logistics center at Tbilisi International Airport. This has developed into an important hub for the movement of goods between Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus.

With the latest expansion, the terminal now covers a total of 142.000 square meters and has modern storage areas, rail connections and open spaces. The investment in the expansion amounts to 11,5 million euros. Since the founding of the national company, the company has invested a total of over 25 million euros in Georgia.

Gebrüder Weiss serves customers from a variety of industries, including textiles, high-tech and automotive, and offers comprehensive logistics services from rail and truck transport to customs clearance and warehousing. The expansion is intended to further intensify cooperation with Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
