General strike: 40 percent of all Brussels flights canceled as a precaution

Brussels Airport expects that for November 9, 2022 announced general strike will have a significant impact on flight operations. As a precaution, the airlines canceled around 40 percent of the planned connections.

Discussions are ongoing with partners and airlines to determine whether additional measures are needed to avoid chaos. The airlines were asked by the airport to contact their passengers and, if possible, to rebook.

Brussels Airport is appealing to those passengers who have to travel next Wednesday to use web check-in options and only travel with hand luggage. From today's perspective, the loading of suitcases cannot be guaranteed.
