In Belgium, the signs are pointing to a strike: several unions have called for a nationwide general strike on November 9th.

Accordingly, there will be work stoppages and restrictions in large parts of public life in Belgium. As the railway company SNCB announces on its website, there may be disruptions to train traffic from November 8 at 22 p.m. to November 9 at 22 p.m. Restrictions are also to be expected at the airports, in particular Brussels-Zaventem and Brussels-Charleroi. In addition, drivers must be prepared for traffic obstructions. The reason for the unions calling for a strike is rising energy costs, as Check24 reports.

Airline passengers are advised to confirm their flight prior to travel. Train passengers should also find out in good time on the day before the strike whether the selected connection will run on the day of the strike and what alternatives are offered in the event of a cancellation.
