The start-up company is launching a new booking platform and would like to make the trip more pleasant for vacationers.

Flying Bag therefore offers transport options for all luggage. The equipment is picked up at home and delivered directly to the holiday apartment or hotel. “As parents, we know from our own experience how stressful traveling to vacation can be. Our customers should also be able to enjoy the first and last day of their holidays. With Flying Bag we offer an innovative service that makes traveling more relaxed, ”says Lukas Fuchs, co-founder and managing director of Flying Bag.

Door-to-door personal luggage delivery service

Flying Bag transports suitcases, travel bags or rucksacks, but also sports equipment - from golf bags to bicycles and eBikes to stand up paddles. The personal delivery service also applies to favorite items such as the oversized cuddly toy or the guitar. Deliveries are currently being made to hotels or holiday apartments throughout Switzerland. The Flying Bag offer will also be available for air travel as early as 2022. "By picking up the luggage at home, the journey to the airport is more relaxed and there is no need to wait for the baggage drop-off at check-in," says the broadcast.  

Travelers choose the desired pick-up time on the website and receive a flying bag tag (baggage label) with a QR code by post, which must be attached to the baggage. The luggage is transported by the Swiss logistics company Oberhänsli Kurier AG from Volketswil. A personal cockpit keeps customers informed about the status of the delivery.
