The insolvent low-cost airline Norwegian Air Shuttle was able to achieve another success before the Irish High Court. The court approved the immediate termination of leases for 25 machines. A corresponding agreement was previously concluded with the four creditors concerned, which the High Court has now approved.

This agreement follows on from other solutions found in the last few weeks: The Airbus bulk order has been canceled and an agreement was reached with a Chinese lessor to terminate the contract for ten machines. Originally, Norwegian initially aimed to reduce the number of contracts, but the court decided that they should be terminated.

Although some lessors tried to secure as many payments as possible in court, the bankruptcy judge only dealt with the submissions to a very limited extent and did not consider them significantly in his decisions.

According to its own information, Norwegian Air Shuttle is now able to present a restructuring plan. The court and the creditors' meeting will decide on this. There is no agreement with Boeing because the Americans are throbbing about the 737 max bulk orderthat the low-cost airline wants to shake off, to the place of jurisdiction in the USA:
